My cousin reposted this image to her Facebook page. I went to the original post and found a bunch of arguments over how the photo was created. I knew I recognized Apophysis and that it was not a photo or initially created in Photoshop. I tried to set everyone straight but you might want to chime in if you have a Facebook account. The link is posted below.
FWIW, this is stunning. Looks a bit more like fireworks than a jellyfish but I get it. Having used Aphophysis in the past to create what we called "Dragon Eggs" I have to say this is really beautiful work and I know how much effort it takes to get a good looking fractal to come out. Not to mention the time to render at a descent resolution so your work is not lost on me. Very well done.
Here is the link to the Facebook Post. I hope you can view it and set them straight. goo.gl/tY38Cg
I would love to have this as my wallpaper, and I'd be happy to give you credit, but the watermark in the middle kinda deters me :-/ Any way to get a copy with a watermark off to the side or something? the middle one, imho, just detracts from the awesomeness. PM me if you can, thanks!
